Frances I. (Johnson) Jackson, 92, of Peru passed away on September 23, 2016 at 9:45am at Miller’s Merry Manor in Peru.
She was born on May 26, 1924 to the late Mack Edward and Cecil Faye (Alexander) Johnson in Kokomo. She graduation from Young American High School in 1942. She married Raymond L. Jackson on December 30, 1945. He passed away on August 4, 1991.
Frances was a member of the First Christian Church in Peru. She was a homemaker and a loving mother. She was always a supporter of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, and puzzle maker. While at Miller’s, she was active in lenin club.
She is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Sam) Brown, Peru; a son, Eddie (Kathy) Jackson, Seymour; eight grandchildren: Mark (Tammy Fagan, Marion; Ryan (Anne) Fagan, Swayzee; Jerod (Shelley Fagan, Swayzee; Jason (Sarah Brown, LaPorte; Justin (Autumn) Brown, Indianapolis; Kari (Zach) Whann, Peru; Adam (Amy) Jackson, Brownstown; Aaron Jackson, Jacksonville, FL; two step-grandchildren: Bill Brown, Paoli; Ray (Sheila) Brown, Bloomington; fifteen great- grandchildren: J.D. Fagan, Kiley and Tyler Fagan, Brody and Mason Fagan, Allison, Madelyn , and Makenzie Brown, Maddux and Myla Brown, Kaci, Kody and Kamren Whann, Jhett and Emma Jackson; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Sims.
Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by two sister, Marjorie Williams-Miller and a Genevieve Britton, and one daughter, Treva Fagan.
A visitation will be held at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home at 105 West Third Street, Peru on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 4pm – 7pm. A funeral service will be held at 10am on September 30, 2016 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, with visitation from 9am until time of service. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
