Everett E. McMillan, 88, of Warren, IN, formerly living most of his lifetime in Jackson Twp. Wells Co., passed away at 1:11AM on Sunday, October 02, 2016 at Bluffton Regional Medical Center in Bluffton, IN.  He was born on Wednesday, March 14, 1928, in Wells County, IN.  He married Colleen Slusher on Sunday, November 5, 1950 at the Dillman United Brethren Church.  Mr. McMillan was a 1946 graduate of Jefferson Township High School in Huntington Co. He was a lifelong dairy farmer. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and was the former Director for Soil Conservation. Mr. McMillan enjoyed woodworking, gardening and fishing. He was a member of the Dillman United Brethren Church in rural Warren, Wells County.

 

Loving survivors include: Wife – Colleen (Slusher) McMillan, Warren (Heritage Pointe), IN, Daughter – Joetta (Husband-Bill) McElhaney, Van Buren, IN, Daughter – Trudy (Husband-Ron) Westfall, Bluffton, IN, Son – Randal (Wife-Janice) McMillan, Montpelier, IN, Daughter – Ginger Arko, Goshen, IN, Daughter – Polly Mayer, Monroe, MI, Daughter – Cherry (Husband-Barry) Story, Bluffton, IN, Daughter – Daisy (Husband-Darrel) Groves, Ft. Wayne, IN, Daughter – Becky (Husband-Kevin) Page, Ossian, IN, Daughter – Bonita (Husband-Stefan) Eckhardt, Waco, TX, 26 Grandchildren, 2 Step Grandchildren and 31 Great Grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his: Father – Boyd A. McMillan, Mother – Julia Anne (Moore) McMillan, Sister – Louise Dawson, Brother – Warren McMillan, Brother – Walter McMillan, Sister – Leatha Dearth and Son in Law – Steve Arko.

 

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Glancy – H. Brown & Son Funeral Home 203 N Matilda St. Warren on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Glancy – H. Brown & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, October 6, 2016.

 

A service to celebrate Everett’s life will be at the Dillman United Brethren Church 8888S – 1100W-90 Warren at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 7, 2016 with Pastor Matt Kennedy officiating.  Interment will follow in the Gardens of Memory in rural Marion, Huntington Co.
