Evelyn was born in Mier on January 20, 2015, the only child born to the late Rex and Nellie (Perkins) Taylor. She passed away at 10:10am on February 17, 2016 in Marion Rehabilitation and Assisted Living, Marion.
Evelyn was a graduate of Converse High School. In 1941 she married Lee Waterson . Mr. Waterson preceded her in death. Evelyn worked for the Grant County Treasurer’s office and later as Dr. Mallott’s receptionist. She retired in 1978.
In her free time Evelyn enjoyed many crafts. She was a talented embroiderer and made many things including, banners and tablecloths. She was an animal lover and always had pet kitties throughout her life. Evelyn was a member of Mier Community Church and will be remembered as being a very independent, interesting and generous lady.
She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Eileen Tuttle, Pierceton; Dixie Waterson, Columbia City; numerous nieces and nephews; dear friend and caregiver, Virginia Haynes, Converse.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 in Converse Cemetery, Converse, Indiana. Owen-Weilert-Duncan, Larrison-Martin Chapel, 308 East Marion Street, Converse, Indiana was entrusted with the arrangements.
