Eunice Eileen “Euny” Butterbaugh, 92, of North Manchester, Indiana, passed away at 6:25 pm, Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Timbercrest Healthcare Center in North Manchester. She was born December 19, 1924 in Wabash County, Indiana to Virgil and Hattie C. (Rickert) Hanley.
Euny was a 1942 graduate of Chester High School. She married Bob Butterbaugh in North Manchester on September 19, 1971; he died October 23, 2001. Euny worked for the Checkerboard Feed Store, the Farm Bureau Grain Elevator, and was a bus driver for Manchester Community Schools for 21 years. She also assisted Bob with their Insurance Business. She enjoyed volunteering at North Manchester Center for History and One World Handcrafts. She was a member of the North Manchester United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her step daughter, Nancy (Roger) Burch of Palm Gardens, Florida, step son, John (Mary) Butterbaugh of North Manchester, one nephew and three nieces. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and four sisters, Portia Mathieu, Winifred Warren, Marietta Howard, and Annabelle Hanley.
Funeral services will be 2pm Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Timbercrest Chapel, 2201 East Street, North Manchester, with Pastor Kurt Stout officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, North Manchester. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, Saturday at Timbercrest.
