Ena Jane Haley, 77, Marion, died at 1:59 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2016, in Marion General Hospital. She was born in Converse, IN, to the late Howard J. and Ruth E. (Swetnam) Clevenger. On July 14, 1957, Ena married Paul Eugene Haley, and he survives.

Ena was a homemaker, who enjoyed crocheting hats and clothes for kids. She loved baking and making snacks to deliver to the Marion-Grant County Senior Center and the Center Township Fire Dept. She also enjoyed Euchre, genealogy, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Ena literally enjoyed life!

Ena was a Pal Club and Little League Team Mother during the years her boys played baseball. She was also a Room Mother during her children’s elementary years. When her two older boys were involved with the Boys Club and Boys Club Singers, Ena was actively involved with the program.

She became a member of the Marion Church of the Brethren in 1967 and was also a member of the Church Board and Women’s Fellowship. Ena also served as a Jr. High Counselor, sang in the choir, and taught many grades over the years. She and her husband helped with church services at the nursing homes and the Rescue Mission.

Ena also held a membership with the Red Hat Society, bowled in a league for many years, and was a very active volunteer at the Marion-Grant County Senior Center.

In addition to her husband, Ena is survived by children, Paul Douglas “Doug” Haley, St. Joseph, MI, Howard Andrew “Andy” Haley, Marion, Melody June (Rick) Yarger, Marion, Richard Davis (J) Haley, Anderson; brothers, Darnell and Billy Clevenger; sister, Beverly Eslava; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Ena was preceded in death by sisters, Wanda Chick and Norma Waynick; and granddaughter, Heather Haley.

A funeral Service for Ena will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February, 2, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN, with Rev. Bill House officiating. Burial will be in Estates of Serenity, Marion.

The family will receive visitors from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2016, at the funeral home.
