Eleanor Joan Payne, 81, Marion, died at 3:12 a.m. on Sunday, May 8, 2016, at St. Vincent Heart Center, Indianapolis. She was born in Sweetser, IN, to the late Sherman and Nina Rose (Ancil) Fowler. She married Phillip Payne on June 8, 1984, and he survives.
Eleanor worked for Carey Services, and she previously worked as an inspector for Manwell Foods in Sweetser. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed being outdoors.
Survivors include her husband, Phillip; children, Diana (Marlon) Fowler-Adams, Marion, Joshua Lee Stannard, Marion, and Danny Ray (Teresa) Stannard, Marion; grandchildren, Kristy (Jason) Drewitz and Hailey Hollins; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her grandson, Mickey Fowler.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday, May 13, 2016, at Integrity Funeral Care, 2901 S. Washington St., Marion, IN. Funeral services will begin at 12 noon with Pastor Steve Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow at Estates of Serenity, Marion.
