Edward G. Garnett, 84, of Huntington, IN, passed away at 10:37 a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2017, at Vibra Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN.

Mr. Garnett was born on February 4, 1932, in Detroit, MI, to the late Christopher and Elizabeth (Ramsey) Garnett, He married Patty Curry on October 16, 1982, in Beech Grove, IN. She resides and survives in Huntington, IN.

Mr. Garnett worked in sales and retired in Hotel Management. He served in the United States Marines and was stationed in China during the Korean War. He was a member of the New Life Tabernacle, Kendallville, IN. Edward was an avid motorcyclist and was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association and Christian Rider Motorcycle Club.

Along with his wife he is survived by four sons, Stephen Adair, Pensacola, FL, Gabriel Garnett, Huntington, IN, Teddy Garnett, Matthew Garnett; one daughter, Lillionna Garnett, Huntington, IN; and one sister, Barbara Hughes, Irving, TX.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at New Life Tabernacle, 609 N. Patty Lane, Kendallville, IN, 46755.

A Memorial service will be held following the calling hours on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at 5:00 p.m. at New Life Tabernacle, 609 N. Patty Lane, Kendallville, IN, 46755, with Rev. James Archambeault officiating.

A private burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Children’s Fund at New Life Tabernacle in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
