Eddie R. Winegardner, 76, Marion, went to be with the Lord at 12:02 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2017, at North Woods Village in Kokomo. He was born in Elwood on August 9, 1941, to the late Charles and Betty (Little) Winegardner. On November 22, 1991, Eddie married Sharon Fager, and she survives.
Eddie retired from Fisher Body where he worked for 40 ½ years as a millwright. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and UAW. Eddie loved the Lord and loved to quote Bible verses, and he enjoyed animals, working crossword puzzles, and doing yardwork.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Sharon; sons, Chuck (Debbie) Winegardner, Marion, Chris Winegardner, Beattyville, Kentucky, Bruce (Melody) Winegardner, Milford, and Randy (Teresa) Wright, Winston-Salem, North Carolina; daughter, Kathy Wright, Elkhart; brother, Philip Arthur (Sharon) Winegardner, Westville; sister, Beth Ann (Dean) Hicks, Greentown; grandchildren, Michael (Elise) Winegardner, Keith (Jessica) Winegardner, Carrie (fiance, Shawn Tyra) Winegardner, Matthew (Jonnie) Winegardner, Ryan Wright, Sarah (Andrew Reese) Wright, Amy (Nick) Hancock, Camille James, and Drew James; great-grandchildren, Kaden, Elliott, Braidan, Jase, and Katelyn Winegardner, Addison, Blakely, and Everly Wright, and Christopher Hancock; and his dog, Hannah.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services for Eddie. A private burial will take place at a later date.
