E. Lenore Brown, 92 formerly of Markle, passed away at 3:20 am on Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Oakbrook Village Nursing Home in Huntington. Lenore had worked at General Electric in Fort Wayne for 12 years and was a Farm Wife. She was a 1942 graduate of Northside High school in Fort Wayne, where she was involved in many activities including singing in the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Choir. She was a member of the Buckeye Christian Church, where she was involved with the Women’s Groups, she played the Piano and was the Treasurer for many years. She was a member of the Elex Club while working at G.E. She also was a member of the Rockcreek Friendship Home Ec. Club and had bowled for many years in Fort Wayne, Bluffton and Huntington.

Lenore was born on December 24, 1923 in Fort Wayne the daughter of Forest and Eva (Hunt) Gee.

She was united in marriage to Joseph Nohlechek on November 18, 1944 in Fort Wayne. He preceded her in death, while serving in the Armed forces overseas, on March 13, 1945. She later married Roger D. Brown on July 22, 1950 in Fort Wayne. He preceded her in death September 4, 1991.

Survivors include a two daughters: Ronda Sereno of Oxford, MI and Sandra Lake of Churubusco, IN. Three grandchildren: Bryn Keplinger, Isaac Keplinger and Dylan Pauley

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle, IN.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September, 22, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the service.

Interment will be in the Greenlawn Memorial Park in Fort Wayne.
