Drake S. Goetz, 15 of Huntington passed away at 10:10 pm on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Drake attended Canterbury High School where he played soccer and was part of the 2017 Canterbury State Championship Team. He enjoyed riding 4-wheelers with his friends. He attended Life Church in Huntington. Drake loved God and was a servant of the Lord who was very forgiving and never held a grudge. He loved all of his friends and was a gentle, happy, humble, caring and a fun loving young man.
Drake was born on December 8, 2001 in Fort Wayne, the son of Robert Goetz and Shelli (Hoffer) Goetz.
Survivors include his father: Robert (Megan) Goetz of Fort Wayne; his mother: Shelli Hoffer – Goetz of Huntington; a sister: Josie Goetz of Fort Wayne; a brother: Alec Goetz of Huntington; three stepsisters: Kelsey Collins of Noblesville; Codie Collins of Little Rock, AK; Kendra Collins of Fort Wayne; paternal grandparents: Joy & Neil Kinsey of Huntington; Al & Cheri Collins of Fort Wayne and Jackie Hornic of Pittsburgh, PA; maternal grandparents: Mark & Beth Hoffer of Huntington and Jean & Phil Pasko of Huntington; great grandmother: Esther Stahly of North Manchester.
He was preceded in death by a paternal grandfather: Rev. Ronald Goetz, Sr.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm at The Chapel, 2505 W. Hamilton Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46814.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 11:00 am with one hour of visitation prior to the service at The Chapel with Pastor Mike Hill officiating.
Interment will be at the Union Cemetery in Huntington County.
