Douglas W. Buzzard, 53, of Huntington, IN, passed away on August 16, 2016, at 5:51 p.m. in Allen County, IN.
Douglas was born on November 25, 1962, in Huntington, IN, to Morris F. and Jean Ann (Stoltz) Buzzard. His mother survives and resides in Huntington, IN.
Doug was a 1981 graduate of Huntington North High School. He was a truck driver for Schenkel’s, Super Value, and currently First Fleet. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, IN.
Along with his mother, Jean Ann, he is survived by his “other half”, Margaret Barry, Huntington, IN; one son, Chad (fiancé Kourtney Cartwright) Buzzard, Fort Wayne, IN; two daughters, Natalie (Stephen Moon) Buzzard, Georgetown, IN, Amanda Buzzard, Wabash, IN; three brothers, David (Connie) Buzzard, Huntington, IN, Daniel Buzzard, Fishers, IN, Duane Buzzard, Fort Wayne, IN; and five sisters, Diane Stone, Andrews, IN, Donna Jo (Michael) Oden, Huntington, IN, Dolores (Kenny) Schneider, Newburgh, IN, Denice Drummond, Huntington, IN, and Dawn Klingaman, Ligonier, IN. Doug is also survived by two grandchildren, Liam Losher and Briella Moon.
Along with his father, Morris, he was preceded in death by one brother, Dean Buzzard.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.
Additional calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016, prior to Mass from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, IN.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry Street, Huntington, IN, with Fr. Ron Rieder, OFM Cap presiding.
Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
