Douglas A. Haynes, 45, died on November 4, 2016, at Rainy Lake Medical Center in International Falls, Minnesota. Doug was born on July 27, 1971 in Elkhart, IN to Galen Haynes and the late Maudie (Fisher) Hardin. Doug worked as a yard laborer for International BildRite in Minnesota.

Doug enjoyed music, both listening to and playing it. He was a great drummer. He was a great artist as well and loved to draw. Doug had a love for fishing, classic cars, and also Harley-Davidson. He was quite a social butterfly and never met a stranger. He was very outgoing and was usually very stubborn. He would see something he wanted, and he went after it until he got it.

Doug is survived by his father, Galen Haynes, Marion, IN; son, Dustin Haynes, Germantown, KY; 2 daughters, Chan’ta Haynes (Joseph Lakin), Marion, IN, and Chelsey Curtis, Maysville, KY; 2 brothers, Patrick Haynes, Marion, IN, and Paul (Ashley) Haynes, Tampa, FL; step-brother, Ty Hardin, Fairmount, IN; step-sister, Carrie Rice, Marion, IN; and step-father, Larry Hardin, Germantown, KY.

Doug was preceded in death by his mother, Maudie Louise (Fisher) Hardin and his niece, Braylee Shea Rice

Arrangements have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 S. Western Ave., Marion, Indiana. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A funeral service honoring Doug will follow the visitation at 3:00 pm.
