Dortha Lee “Dottie” Reynolds, 82, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Dottie was born on September 27, 1934, the daughter of the late Alice (Kirkendoll) Wallace, in Clinton, Arkansas. Dottie married Paul W. Reynolds on April 17, 1973, in Gas City, Indiana. He preceded her in death on August 3, 2013.

Dottie graduated from Clinton Arkansas high school in 1953. She then graduated from Indiana State Beauty School. She worked as a hairdresser for around 60 years.. She owned her own beauty shop, tanning salon, and shirt shop. She also owned Dottie’s Cafe and the Railroad Inn in Jonesboro, Indiana. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Gas City. Dottie enjoyed bowling with her late husband. She was a very determined lady and was quite the go-getter. She was never one to sit back and let others do things for her. She was always busy, between working the shirt shop and doing people’s hair.

Dottie is survived by her two sons, Barry (Brenda) Winningham, Wabasha, MN, and Barney (Holly) Winningham, Sims, IN; sister Eva Beavers, Clinton, AR; two grandsons, Barry (Katie) Winningham, Jr. and Chad Winningham, both of Jalapa, IN; and three great-grandchildren, Lauren, Nick, and Faith Winningham.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Wallace, husband, Paul Reynolds, two brothers Woody and Robert Wallace, and her beloved dog, Paige.

Arrangements for Dottie have been entrusted to Armes-Hunt Funeral Home & Cremation Services Fairmount Chapel, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, Indiana, where a visitation will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Paul McPhearson officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery.
