Donnie Browning Jr. was called home to be with Jesus on June 5, 2017 at 10:16pm. He was surrounded by friends and family.
He was resident of Miller’s Health Systems, and was born on July 24, 1968 to Donald and Betty Browning. Donnie loved life, music and never met a stranger. He enjoyed listening to gospel music and going to Jamborees. Donnie was always full of life. He was a graduate of Wabash School for Exceptional Children class of 1987. Donnie worked full time at Bona Vista Programs of Peru for almost 25 years.
Donnie is survived his mother, Betty Browning, sister Tammy Browning and companion Chris Wheeler, and brother Norman Browning. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles: John and Sharon Marcotte of Richmond Indiana, Dorothy and George Mize of Peru, Asbel and Lorraine Browning of Bledsoe Kentucky, Rose and Tom Applegate, Leonard and Kathy Browning, Marsh Jr and Juanita Browning, Peru Indiana, and Lola and Dan Jordan of Denver, Indiana. Also, family friends Doria Lynn Maggart and Scott Devivo, as well as several cousins.
Donnie was preceded in death by his father Donald Browning Sr., grandparents Norman and Clara Marcotte and Marsh and Bertha Browning. Also, several aunts and uncles: Aunt Wanda Rogers, Aaron and Christine Browning, Jimmy and Eileen Browning, and Uncle Aster Browning.
Visitation will be held from 9am – 11am on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. Funeral service will follow at 11am, with Pastor Bryan Maggart officiating. Burial will be at Reyburn Cemetery.
