Donna R. Shock, 82, of Anderson, died Thursday, November 3, 2016 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Health.
Donna was one of nine children born to the late George and Eunice B. (Wilson) Collins on July 12, 1934 in Robinson, Illinois. She graduated from Robinson High School in 1952 and married the late Richard Shock on April 3, 1956. Richard preceded her in death on June 17, 2012. Donna had worked as a nurses aid at Community Hospital and several nursing homes in the Anderson area along with being an EMT. She retired in 1981 from Guide Lamp where she had worked in production for 10 years. Donna was a member of the Anderson Baptist Temple, formerly Calvary Baptist. In her free time she enjoyed crafts, working with fabric paint and making flower arrangements, working in her garden and making good meals for her family.
Donna is survived by 3 children; Michael (Linda) Shock, Fairmount, IN, Teresa Ford, Muncie, IN, and Mark Shock, Anderson, IN, Two brothers; Ronnie (Sandy) Collins, Decatur, IL and Gary (Sharon) Collins, Robinson, IL. Seven grandchildren; Jeremy Shock, Robert Ford, Brandy McKee, Grace Anna Ford, Tiffany Ford, Melissa Presley and Blake Beasley and 11 Great-grandchildren.
Donna was preceded in death by four brothers; George, Bill, Bob and Grover, and two sisters; Gloria and Bertha.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, IN. Visitation will be on Monday, November 7, 2016 from 12-2 PM with funeral service at 2 PM with Dr. Jerry DeHart officiating. Interment will follow at Park Cemetery, Fairmount, IN.
