Donna M. Hoke, 84, Marion, met her Lord and Savior at 12:56 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2016, at Marion General Hospital. She was born on October 15, 1932, to Claude Powell and Gertrude (Davis) Sharon. In July 1993, Donna married Donald D. Hoke, and he survives.

Donna was a graduate of Sweetser High School. She owned and operated McVickers Bait & Tackle and was a member of Temple Congregational Church.

Spending time with her family was one of Donna’s greatest joys in life. She and her husband enjoyed traveling, and especially staying in their winter home in New Port Richey, Florida. She was very active with the Senior Center and loved to play Bingo and read. Donna would also spend hours working in her garden, as well as going to garage sales.

Survivors include her husband, Donald; children, Becky Van Ness, Marion, Karen (Jerry) Frees, Warren, Dennis (Tammy) McVicker, Gas City, Linda McVicker, Marion, Tommie McVicker, Marion; step-son, Robert (Barbara) Hoke, Marion; grandchildren, Meri Collins, Vikki Van Ness, Eric (Debbie) Long, Pat (Richelle) Long, Adrienne Long, Kyle McVicker, Zachary Cox, April Cox, and Janel Shaffer; step-granddaughter, Angel (Justin) Cook; and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her grandson, Jake Van Ness, Jr.; son-in-law, Jake Van Ness, Sr.; four brothers; and three sisters.

Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Services for Donna are at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2016, at the funeral home with Pastor Jeffrey Jahn officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.
