Donald Rodrick Kwoczalla, 86, Marion, passed into his eternal home on Friday, August 26, 2016. He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Louis and Yvonne (Gabriel) Kwoczalla. He married Katherine “Kay” Jane Troup on March 19, 1977, and she survives.
Donald was a 1956 graduate of Miami University. He retired in 1992 from the Marion Waste Water Treatment Plant, where he worked as a Lab Technician. He previously worked for Malleable Iron Works until its closing.
Donald loved his grandchildren and would do anything for his family. He also loved his pets. He had several dogs over the years and will be missed by his cat, Dungy. Donald loved to spend his time just being with family, whether going to movies, sporting events, or babysitting and playing with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed spending time with the Community Support Program staff, Mary Anne Dawson, Bruce Briggs, and Stacy Grindle. Donald was also a member of College Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years; sons, Rodrick Kwoczalla, Muncie, and Kendrick (Brittany) Kwoczalla, Muncie; grandchildren, Kolten Kwoczalla and Kanaan Kwoczalla; and mother-in-law, Willavene “Willie” Troup.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, at College Wesleyan Church, 200 E. 38th St., Marion, IN. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bill Kinnan officiating.
