Donald Michael “Mike” McMillan, 70, Noblesville, passed away in his home at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2017. Born in Marion on August 25, 1947, to Donald McMillan and Phyllis (Ford) Everhart, Mike married Patti Frantz on April 26, 1969, and she survives.

After graduation from high school, Mike enlisted in the United States Army. He served during the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient. Following his years in the military, Mike’s servant heart did not end there. He became the Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Grant County, where he served for 27 years, and he retired from United Way of Grant County. He was a member of the American Legion Post 470 and Geist Christian Church.

Mike enjoyed fishing and bowling, but he especially loved being surrounded by his family and grandchildren and making memories with them.

He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Everhart, Fishers; his loving wife of 48 years, Patti; children, Lisa Pratt, Noblesville, and Eric (Megan) McMillan, Fishers; grandchildren, Drew Pratt, Luke Pratt, Kylie McMillan, and Connor McMillan; and brother, Pat (Jenny) McMillan, Leesburg.

Preceding him in death were his sisters, Phyllis Ann McMillan and Sandy Ruley.

The family will receive visitors from 3-7 p.m. with Mike’s funeral service beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

The family prefers that memorial contributions be directed to Boys and Girls Club of Grant County, 3402 S. Meridian St., Marion, IN 46953 and United Way of Grant County, 215 S. Adams St., Marion, IN 46952.
