Donald E. Fritch, 64, of Marion, IN, passed away at 4:11 PM on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born on Wednesday, July 23, 1952, to James R. Fritch and Eva Marie (Phelps) Fritch in Elizabethtown, KY. Donald served in the U.S. Navy for 27 years. He had served 2 terms in Saudi Arabia. His rank was SH2 and had decorations of Battle “E” ribbon award, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon award, Navy Expeditionary, Meritorious Unit Commendation Award, Fourth Good Conduct 93 Jan., National Defense Service Medal, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. Donald loved doing anything with his hands, computer, and crosswords. He also loved being outside in the fresh air.

He was preceded in death by his Father – James R. Fritch, Mother – Eva Marie (Phelps) Fritch, Brothers – Kenneth Fritch, Gary Fritch, Wendell Fritch, and Sister – Kathy Brooks.
A graveside service will be at 1:00 PM Friday March 31, 2017 in the Marion National Cemetery, Marion, IN. Military rites will be conducted by the U.S. Navy.
