Diane Leech, 86, was surrounded by her family when she passed away in her Gas City home at 11:05 a.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. She was born in Muncie on October 9, 1930, to Cleo and Thelma (Braughman) Wilson.

Diane became the wife of Gerald Leech and they raised two children, Greg Leech, Gas City, and Pam (Tom) Brookshire, Fort Wayne. She received her RN degree and worked at the Marion VA Hospital until her retirement. Diane was a member at St. James Lutheran Church, where she enjoyed volunteering and was actively involved in Bible study and the prayer chain. She also enjoyed playing cards and was a member of various card clubs.

She is also survived by her granddaughter, Madissen Brookshire; step-grandchildren, Tom (Jennifer) Brookshire and Kim (Curt) Lehman; step-great-granddaughters, Emily Lehman and Victoria Lehman; niece, Ann Mastenbrook, New Mexico; and brother-in-law, John (Sharon) Leech, Hartford City.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, and father- and mother-in-law, Russell (Ella) Leech.

A memorial visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. with a memorial service beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at St. James Lutheran Church, 1206 N. Miller Ave., Marion, IN. Pastor William Lahrman will be officiating.

Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
