Dennis P. Bartrom, 69, Huntington, IN died at 3:38 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN.
Dennis was born January 11, 1947, in Huntington to John VanMeter Bartrom and Dorothy (Hurd) Bartrom. They preceded him in death.
Dennis was married in December, 1971 to Teresa S.”Terri” Lee. She survives in Huntington.
Dennis graduated from Huntington Catholic High School in 1966. He retired in 2009 from INDOT where he worked as a traffic/paint coordinator for 41 years. Dennis was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Huntington, IN.
Along with his wife he is survived by one son, Eric W. Bartrom (Hayley Evans), Huntington, IN; two daughters, Amy Sue Burnau, Angola, IN, and Tiffany R. (Kevin) Kampa, Big Lake, MN; two brothers, Jan D. (Linda) Bartrom, Huntington, IN and John V. Bartrom, Huntington, IN and three sisters, Judy D. Sanders, Huntington, IN, Lynne A. (Dan) Cicatko, Huntington, IN, and Jill (John) Christ, Fort Wayne, IN. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Alethea A. Garner.
Calling will be Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN.
Recitation of the Rosary will be at 4:00 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 908 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN, with Father Stephen Colchin presiding.
Private burial will be at a later date.
