David J. Madras, 49, died on January 27, 2017 at Marion General Hospital due to complications from diabetes. He was born on November 25, 1967 in Erie, PA to Thomas Madras and Audrey (Swindlehurst) Madras.
David was a graduate of Marion High School and worked at Wiley Metal for over 20 years. One of the things David’s family and friends will remember about him was his love for the Pittsburgh Steelers and his great sense of humor. He also loved his annual Thanksgiving trip to St. Louis with his family and hanging out with his “Roots” crew.
He is survived by his son, Cody Holloway, Evansville; parents, Thomas & Donna (Clifford) Madras of Herculaneum, MO; sister, Linda Madras Crowell of Lafayette; brothers, Beau (Ashley) White of Marion; Mark Madras of California; nieces and nephews Jack, Marley, Jessica and Levi; uncles, James (Ann) Madras of Leesburg, FL; Michael (Penny) Madras of Raleigh, NC; Tim (Janet) Clifford of Reidsville, NC; Dennis (Nancy) Clifford of Oil City, PA; Kevin Clifford of Titusville, PA aunts, Barbara Madras of Erie, PA; Carol Russell of Oil City, PA; Lori (Steve) Hacker of Oil City, PA; Sharon Clifford of Oil City, PA.
David is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernestine Swindlehurst of Erie, PA; Stanley and Sophie Madras of Erie, PA; mother, Audrey (Swindlehurst) Madras; uncle, Paul Madras; brother, Thomas Madras, sister, Debbie Madras and grandnephew, Braxton.
Family and Friends may call to celebrate David’s life from 4pm to 6pm on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at the American Legion Post 10, 1700 S. Pennsylvania St., Marion, IN.
