David E. Gradeless, 67, of Roanoke, IN, and formerly of Huntington, IN, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016, at 3:22 p.m. at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN.

Dave was born on July 20, 1948, in Huntington, IN, to Charles and Evelyn (Garshwiler) Gradeless. His parents preceded him in death. He married Darla J. Little on September 6, 1969, in North Manchester, IN. Darla survives and resides in Roanoke, IN.

Dave was a 1966 graduate of Clear Creek High School and a graduate of International Business College in Fort Wayne. He was a Sales Manager at Coast to Coast/Transwheel, Huntington, IN. Dave was an active member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Huntington, IN. He was a High Priest and former Bishop for the church. Dave was an avid lover of basketball and actively played up until two years ago.

Along with his wife, Darla, he is survived by three sons, Jason (Jill) Gradeless, Huntington, IN, Clint (Mary) Gradeless, Kyle (Whitney) Gradeless, both of Roanoke, IN; one daughter, Alana (Jeremy) Steele, Roanoke, IN; one brother, Alan (Colleen) Gradeless, Hendersonville, TN; and two sisters, Christine (Kent) Duhamell, Greencastle, IN, and Carlene (Ross) Staller, South Whitley, IN.
He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Bryson Gradeless, Sydnee Gradeless, Melanie Gradeless, Audrey Gradeless, Kate Gradeless, Tyler Gradeless, Lara Steele, Will Gradeless, Emily Gradeless, Davin Steele, Ayla Steele, Mya Gradeless, Calin Steele, Eli Gradeless, and one grandchild on the way.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Miriah Lou Gradeless.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1190W – 500N, Huntington, IN 46750.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at The Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1190W – 500N, Huntington, IN, with Brice Bedke and Jon Knecht officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, North Manchester, IN.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to a Church Mission Fund for his grandchildren in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
