David (Big Dave) Huff, 51, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at 9:34 p.m. at his residence in Huntington.
Big Dave was born on April 17, 1965, in Brockport, NY, to Harry and Myrtle (Post) Huff. His parents preceded him in death.
Big Dave worked at Ken-Koat, Inc., Huntington for over 13 years. David loved to fish and work on cars. He loved to help others any way he could. David loved his family, his church (First Freewill Baptist Church) and his many friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Big Dave is survived by his brother, Kenneth (Courtney) Huff, Huntington, IN; one sister, Darlene Phares, Fort Wayne, IN; brother-in-law, Steve Sommers, Huntington, IN; special friends, Heather and Brenda Paynter; 3 nephews, 1 niece, 2 great nieces, and 3 great nephews.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Louise Huff and Debra Sommers.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at First Freewill Baptist Church, 1805 Salamonie Avenue, Huntington, IN.
Additional calling hours will be held on Monday, November 14, 2016, prior to the funeral from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 14, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at First Freewill Baptist Church, 1805 Salamonie Avenue, Huntington, IN with ministers, Tim Gillenwater, Michael Paynter, and Vernon Tackett.
Burial will be at Lancaster Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
