Darrald Wilson Steffey went to see his Heavenly Father at 1:20 am on Wednesday October 26, 2016 surrounded by his family.

Darrald was born on September 12,1942 in Bunker Hill, IN to Roberta and Darrald Steffey.

Darrald married Regina in 1966, 1969, and then for real on June 4th, 1988.

Darrald served in the U.S. National Guard and worked at Square D until his retirement in 2001.

His home church was Bunker Hill United Methodist, where he attended when he felt confident that the roof would not cave in upon his arrival or when he knew the sermon would be a quick one.

Darrald loved fishing, spending time in his garage, playing poker with the guys, his early morning cup of coffee, his wife’s scrambled eggs, the Chicago Bears (even when they were losing), beer, duct tape, and his family and friends.

Darrald is survived by his wife Regina of Bunker Hill; two daughters, Kimberly and Christopher Robison of Peru, and Natalie and Kevin Ubel of Peru; his sisters Rita Tanner of Texas, Relna and Ed Kayser of Peru, and Rosie and Denny Schofield of Peru; five grandchildren, Dylan, Kiersten, Brady, Kinzie, and Jada; four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, his sisters Dolly Spangler, Dorothy and Don Green, and Dee and Leonard Kraus, and his brother-in-law Chuck Tanner.

Arrangements are Sunday October 30, 2016 at Bunker Hill United Methodist Church. Viewing is from 2-5 pm, with the service to follow with his favorite Pastor Evan Strong. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bunker Hill United Methodist Church or his wife Regina.

Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at www.FlowersLeedyAllen.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to Allen Funeral Home.
