Darla D. (Rose) Musick, 65, passed away February 29, 2016, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Musick was born August 14, 1950 in Indianapolis. She graduated class of 1968 from Fairmount High School. Darla retired from Indiana Wesleyan University Maintenance Dept. where she worked as a secretary. She enjoyed Scuba Diving, teaching pre-k/kindergarten class on Wednesday nights at Fairmount Wesleyan Church. She also enjoyed genealogy research, watching old monster movies, planting flowers and spoiling her grandchildren.
Survivors include husband of 46 years, Dennis P. Musick, of Fairmount; two daughters, Tia D. Musick and Tana P. Parsons, both of Fairmount; sister, Peggy S. (Tom) Gibson, of Fairmount; grandchildren, Jade A. McDaniels, Blade E. McDaniels, Caden N. Parsons, Allerdyce D. Fidler, Rylan B. Cole, all of Fairmount; nephews, Dane and Jacob Gibson, both of Fairmount; niece, Shawna Gibson, of Gas City; and several step siblings.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edison Rose, and mother, Berniece (Chambers) Culver.
Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremations Services have been entrusted with arrangements. Cremation will take place followed by a celebration of life memorial service on Saturday, March 19, 206 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fairmount Wesleyan Church, 304 N Walnut St, Fairmount, IN 46928.
