Daniel L. Logsdon

Daniel L. Logsdon, 60 of Peru, passed away, Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017. He was born in Ironton, Ohio on Jan. 1, 1957 to the late Houston and Mary Lou (Perry) Logsdon. Danny was a 1976 graduate of Peru High School and attended the graphic design program at Upper Wabash Vocational School.

He was the City of Peru’s self-proclaimed taxi driver. For the better part of the past two decades, if you needed a ride, Danny was your man. He also liked to bbq on his grill and spend time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his two children, son; Nathan Logsdon with companion Chandell Gilliam and daughter; Danielle Logsdon, grandchildren; Noah Merrell, Kolton Logsdon, Neveah Porter, Brayden Logsdon, Prestyn Logsdon, Ethan Logsdon, Caeleb Logsdon, Kadience Worthington and Anessa Worthington, four brothers; Aaron (Jean) Logsdon, Mark (Lois) Davis, Phillip (Heidi) Davis and Houston (Jenne) Logsdon II, four sisters; Mary (Nathan) Coons, Paula (Rick) Ferguson, Toni (Joseph) Dunn and Deborah Poore, and his favorite nephew Travis (Alexis) Dunn, along with several other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents, step-mother; Lena Logsdon, brother; David Davis and granddaughter, Breanna Logsdon.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, Dec. 29, 2017 at 7pm at First Church of the Nazarene, 331 W. 6th St. Peru. Friends and family may gather at the church from 4pm until the time of service. Service will be officiated by Houston Logsdon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made through the funeral home to the Daniel Logsdon fund at Beacon Credit Union, in care of Paula Ferguson, for the grandchildren.
