Dallas L. Heyde, 77, of Warren, IN, passed away unexpectedly at 2:13 PM on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at his daughter’s house in Warren.  He was born on Wednesday, January 11, 1939, in Bremen, IN.  He married Sheila Daggett on Thursday, August 10, 1972 in the United Church of Christ in Warren, together the two have celebrated over 44 years of marriage.  Dallas graduated from Huntington High School in 1956. He was a United States Army veteran, serving 3 years in Japan. He was the owner of Heyde Oil Inc. and Huggy Bear gas stations and motel for 59 years. He was a devoted member of the Hillcrest Church of the Nazarene in Warren. Dallas was dedicated to his family and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, playing card games with family, Indiana Basketball, keeping up to date by watching Fox News and especially taking car rides with his dog Annie. Dallas was a great godly man, who gave love freely to all that knew him.  His giving ways and devotion to his family and church family will never be forgotten.

Loving survivors include: Wife – Sheila Heyde, Warren, IN, Daughter – Rene Eltzroth, Warren, IN, Daughter – Stacey (Tom) Kellam, Liberty Center, IN, Daughter – Marsha Graham, Bluffton, IN, Son – Kirk (Kim) Heyde, Huntington, IN, Son – Todd Heyde, Warren, IN, Son – Lance Heyde, Warren, IN, Daughter-in-law – Chris Daggett, Andrews, IN, 15 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, Brother – Larry (Dorie) Heyde, Huntington, IN and Sister – Jo Ann (Max) Sell, Huntington, IN.

He was preceded in death by his: Father – Alvin Heyde, Mother – Hazel (Sheneman) Heyde, Son – Gene Daggett and Brother – Carl Heyde.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Hillcrest Church of the Nazarene 406 E. 1st. Warren on Friday, December 23, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

A service to celebrate his life will be at Hillcrest Church of the Nazarene 406 E. 1st. Warren at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 24, 2016; viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.  Pastors Mark Davis, Clyde Gunn and Tristan Heyde will be officiating.  Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren. Huntington Co. VFW Post 2689 will be conducting military rites.
