Dallas E. Booth, Jr., 64, Marion, passed away at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 11, 2016, in his home. He was born in Marion, Indiana. to the late Dallas and Vada (Smith) Booth, Sr. He married Carol A. Zirkle on February 14, 1970, and she survives.

Dallas was a 1970 graduate of Oak Hill High School and attended Marion College. He was a member of Sunnycrest Baptist Church.

Dallas was a self-employed engineer and could fix just about anything. He was an avid racing fan and was an inspector technician for the Indy Racing League. He loved making and selling slot cars and had his own line of slot car products. Dallas traveled the country to attend races. He owned and operated tracks for several years. Dallas also enjoyed flying model planes, and he loved to spend time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Carol; children, Tressa A. (Michael) Huddleston, Bristol, and Vanessa M. (Aaron) Fields, Huntington; grandchildren, Makayla, Makenna, and Makylia Huddleston, and Gracie and Graden Fields; and several cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, Dallas was preceded in death by his sister, Lorraine K. Booth.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park.
