Curtis W. Neal, 94, of Lebanon, passed away Sunday morning, June 25, 2017, in Hickory Creek at Lebanon. He was born in Pittsboro, on September 18, 1922, to the late Drury C. and Amy F. (Friedrich) Neal.

Curt graduated from North Salem High School in 1940. He attended Indiana University, Purdue University, and Canterbury College.

He married Frances Hine on April 23, 1949, in Lebanon. She preceded him in death on February 1, 1989.

Mr. Neal served in the United States Marine Corps from 1940-1945. He served in the Southwest Central Pacific Theatre. He was an Engineer and Accountant for Ford Motor Company for 23 years, before retiring in 1980.

Curt was a member of the American Legion Post #24, Columbus, Marine Corps Association, and the National Rifle Association. He attended the Wesleyan Church.

Survivors include a son, Jerry (Darlene) Neal, Lebanon; a sister-in-law, Dorothy M. Smith, Lebanon; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including Sherry Graham, Lebanon.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Morken Purcell, and brothers, Arlie, Melvin, Marvin, and Thomas.

At his request, there will be no services.
