Constance Elaine Reed, 68, passed away peacefully at approximately 7:30 pm. on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 in Peru, Indiana. Constance was born in Kokomo, Indiana, Indiana on October 31, 1948 to Eugene and Imogene Reed. Throughout her life, she resided in Kokomo, Logansport and Peru, Indiana. She was a 1966 graduate of Kokomo High School. She worked at Wilson’s Meat Packing Plant in Logansport, Indiana for 12 years before she became a homemaker. Constance enjoyed decorating and gardening.
Constance is survived by a son, Trent Johnson, Lafayette, IN, a daughter, Debra Jaramillo, Indianapolis, IN, a son, Shane Johnson and wife Rachelle Johnson, Logansport, IN, and youngest son, Gene Wedekind, Peru, IN, her mother, Imogene Reed, Niles, MI, brother, Ronald Reed and wife Crisha Reed, Georgia, sister, Kathy Mitchell and husband Rick Mitchell, Niles, MI and several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Constance was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Reed, Logansport, IN in 1985.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017. There will be a calling from 12:00 noon-2:00 pm. with services beginning at 2:00 pm. at the Mope Hope Cemetery Chapel, 411 N. Grant Street, Peru, IN 46970. Evangelist George Faull will be officiating. Love offerings may be sent to Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, IN 46970.
