Conner Elton Gray, 19, of Peru, Indiana passed away at 2:12am on November 5, 2016 at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, after a long fight with two cancers.

He was born at Dukes Hospital in Peru, Indiana on October 21, 1997 to R. Scott and Sheila R. (Johnson) Gray, of Peru.  They survive.

Conner was a June, 2016 graduate of North Miami High School.  He also received a certificate of completion for two years of electronics and computer technology education through Heartland Career Center.  He was a 10 year member of 4-H, and was a life scout in Boy Scouts.  He played soccer through all of his high school years, and also ran track one year.  Conner’s love was soccer, and he enjoyed making people smile and laugh.

In addition to his parents, Conner is also survived by a sister Megan (Josh) Blackburn of Peru, and a brother Kory (Aime) Black, also of Peru.  Also, several nephews and nieces: Brian LeDonne, Amelia Black, Edward Blackburn, and Alessa Blackburn.  Also surviving are maternal grandfather Myron Johnson, Peru, and paternal grandmother Ceolia Gray, Wabash and several Aunts and Uncles.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 12pm – 8pm at the Miami County Fairground.  Funeral service will also be held at the Miami County Fairground at 10am on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, with Pastor Kenneth Greenwald officiating.  Burial will follow at the Lutheran Cemetery.
