Colene Ruth Pilgrim, 87, formerly of Wabash, passed away at 2:15 a.m. on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Chapman Place in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born in Marion, Indiana on July 4, 1930 to the late Hillary & Grace (Lewark) Lostutter.
Colene married John R. “Jack” Pilgrim on December 25, 1948; he died on December 1, 2005. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church, Wabash. Colene enjoyed fishing, painting and 4th of July family gatherings, but most importantly enjoyed spending time with her family.
Colene is survived by son, Stephen (Ruthann) Pilgrim, Wabash; daughter, Cathy (Kenneth) Barnett, Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, Lisa (Aaron) Laskowski, Edwardsburg, Michigan, Emily (Jeremy) Boardman, Somerset, Nicholas (Krissy) Barnett, New Haven; and seven great-grandchildren, Casey Boardman, Colleen Boardman, Ella Laskowski, Evan Laskowski, Rylee Barnett, Cohen Barnett and Piper Barnett . She is preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992. Burial will follow immediately at Mississinewa Cemetery, Somerset. Friends may call two hours prior to service at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to the Parkview Hospice, Fort Wayne or Wabash.
