Cloid W. Cloud

Cloid W. Cloud, 96, of Warren, IN, passed away at 9:34 PM on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Heritage Pointe in Warren.  He was born on Sunday, September 18, 1921, in Huntington, IN to Belle and Arthur Cloud.  He married Helen Milligan on Sunday, February 10 1946; she passed away on April 2, 2005.  Cloid was a 1939 graduate of Huntington High School.  After graduating high school, he attended and graduated from Aircraft Sheet Metal School in Wichita, KS before enlisting in the United States Air Force during WWII where he served from July 1942 until September 1945.  After returning from WWII, he attended Barber College in Indianapolis and worked as a barber for 50 years and owned his own barber shop in Warren.  He was a member of the Warren United Methodist Church (Solid Rock).  Cloid greatly enjoyed his hobby of fishing and playing pool and was a locally know artist who painted many area structures of historical interest.

 

Loving survivors include:  Daughter – Carolyn Jones, St. Petersburg, FL, Son- Richard (Wife, Sheryl) Cloud, Woodland Park, CO, Son  – Don M. Cloud, Sanford, FL, Daughter – Debra(Husband, Don) Smith, Ft. Wayne, IN, 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death his:  Wife – Helen (Milligan) Cloud, Warren, IN, Father – Arthur J. Cloud, Mother – Belle (Gaiser) Cloud, Brother – Kenny Cloud, and Sister – B. Maxine Boyer.

Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St. Warren on Monday, November 20, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

 

A service to celebrate Cloid’s life will be at Glancy – H. Brown & Son Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 21, 2017; viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.  Pastor Paul C. Burris will be officiating and burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren.
