Clayton “Casey” Bowling

Clayton “Casey” Bowling, 64, Marion, died in Marion General Hospital at 5:56 a.m. on Sunday, October 2, 2016. He was born in Van Lear, Kentucky, to the late Otis and Bethel Bowling. On September 30, 1988, Casey married Jane Bowling, and she survives.

Over a 30-year span, Casey was a truck driver for Red Gold and Highway Dispatch. He was a member of the National Guard. Casey enjoyed watching the Colts and NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and going to the James Dean car show. Casey was the kind of guy who was always ready to help people. He enjoyed sitting outside and doing yard work. Family was very important to him, and he loved his grandkids dearly and his dog, Zoey.

Survivors include his children, Lisa (Kevin) Brown, Jonesboro, Brian (Stefanie) Rogers, Gas City, Angie Bowling, Wabash, and Chuck Bowling, Connecticut; 11 grandchildren; siblings, William (Wendy) Bowling, Bertha Henry, Brenda Blankenship, Lucille (Harlan) Webb, Alice (Tom) Hewlett, Ida Ann (Casey) Sparks, Evelyn (Greg) Hazelett, Terry (Janet) Bowling, and Jackie (Billy) Dollarhide; in-laws, Pam Althouse, Pam (Carl) Jones, Cathy (Tom) Dixon, and Bruce Althouse; several nieces and nephews; and pet dog, Zoey;

In addition to his parents, Casey was preceded in death by his brother, Walter “Wally” Althouse, and in-laws, Howard (Betty) Althouse.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.

Services for Casey are at the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2016, with Pastor Bill Bowling officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
