Cheryl L. (West) Shodlouski, 52, Marion, went home to be with the Lord at 11:22 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017, at Community South Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Oceanside, California, to Robert and Ruth (Spencer) West. On September 30, 1983, she married Leon M. Shodlouski, Sr., and he survives.
Cheryl was a full-time Gramma. Her children and grandchildren were her life, and she cherished each moment with them. She was previously a manager at Marion’s Subway for many years before working at Kohl’s, where she was a sales associate. Cheryl also loved crocheting and reading.
She is survived by Leon, her husband of 33 years; daughter, Cindy (Forest) Johnson, New Jersey; son, Leon (Shelby) Shodlouski, Jr., Marion; mother, Ruth West, Marion; grandson, Chansler Shodlouski; granddaughter, Peyton Johnson; one grandchild on the way; and siblings, Arlene (Gary) Hunt, Marion, Robbie (Joyce) West, Hartford City, Diana (Keith) Parker, Gas City, and Terry (Debbie) West, Colorado. Cheryl will also be dearly missed by her family at Grace Community Church, where she was a member.
Her father, Robert West, preceded her in death.
Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Services for Cheryl will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at Grace Community Church, 1810 E. Bradford Pike, Marion, with Pastor Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park.
