Charlotte Nealis, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 26, 2017 at Blair Ridge Health Campus.
She was born in Marion, In on July 23, 1933 to Ralph & Ruth Marden. Charlotte married Orville Nealis, Jr. on August 16, 1952. They enjoyed 48 wonderful years together. Orville preceded her in death on August 18, 2000.
Charlotte was a homemaker and housewife. She was an active member of the Parkview United Methodist Church, serving for many years as the Financial Secretary. Charlotte loved spending time with her family, which was her whole life. She was always willing to help anyone and everyone in any way she could.
She is also survived by four sons, Denny (Gayle) of Logansport, Larry (Cindy) of Mexico, Randy (Debbie) of Bunker Hill, and Bill (Connie) of Peru; and two daughters Linda Nealis and Annette (Jeff) Rensberger, both of Peru, and eleven grandchildren Chris (Michelle) Fogerty of N. Manchester, Jimmy (Kara) Kaufman of Greentown, Kristy (Brent) Pond of Bunker Hill, Josh (Sarah) Nealis of Ft. Wayne, Laura (Michael) Ditto and Chris (Lindsey) Kunkle both of Peru, Stacy (Justin) Martin of Kokomo, Lesley (Brendan) Smith of Tulsa, Ok, Brad (Cassie) McCarty and Brian McCarty both of Logansport, and nineteen great-grandchildren with another on the way. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law Betty Marden, Marilyn Marden and Chris Marden.
She was preceded in death by both parents, husband Orville Nealis, Jr, five brothers and one sister.
Friends may call from 3pm-7pm on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Parkview United Methodist Church 1785 S State Road 19, Peru, IN 46970. The funeral will be at 10:30am on Monday, July 31, 2017 at the church, with Pastor Bob Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park in Marion, IN. Memorials may be made in Charlotte’s name to Parkview United Methodist Church.
