Charlie R. Howell, 69, a lifelong resident of Warren, IN, passed away on Friday afternoon, May 13, 2016 at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, IN. He was born on Friday, March 07, 1947, in Huntington, IN. He married Linda McDaniel in 1969 in the Heritage Pointe Applegate Chapel in Warren; together they have enjoyed 47 years of marriage. Charlie was a 1965 graduate of Warren High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1966-1970 during the Vietnam War. He was a 29 year veteran of the Warren Vol. Fire Department. He was a former truck driver and enjoyed gardening and traveling. He traveled to all 50 states, China, Scandinavia and Europe. Charlie especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of the Solid Rock United Methodist Church in Warren.

A service to celebrate Charlie’s life will be at Glancy – H. Brown & Son Funeral Home at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 17, 2016; viewing will be held one hour before the service. Pastor Paul C. Burris will officiate and the Huntington County Honor Guard will conduct military graveside rites. Interment will take place in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren.
