Charles “Hap” Orme, age 60, of Marion, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016 in his home.
He was born on August 16, 1956 in Marion, Indiana the son of the late Delbert Orme and Onnie (Eakins)- Orme-DeRossett. He married Trina Williams on August 16, 1994, and she survives. Hap worked at T & J Plating for 33 years until his retirement.
He was a member and trustee of the Eagles Lodge and also a member of the American Legion, and the AMVETS. He loved to go camping and spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved playing cards.
He is survived by his wife, Trina Orme of Marion, Indiana; son, Bobby (Jennifer) Wells of Gas City, Indiana; three daughters, Lisa (Greg) Oakley of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Tiffany Wells of Marion, and Rachelle (Gary) Burnham of Marion; three brothers, Robert “Bob” (Debbie) Orme of Fowlerton, Indiana, Delber Jr. (Jenny) Orme of Elwood, Indiana and David (Michelle) Orme of Hartford City, Indiana; sister, Bonita “Sis” (Charles) Thomas of Marion, Indiana; and grandchildren, Caitlyn, Bailey, Gregory, Bret, Kloey, Autumn, Lyla, Brandon, Nathan, Logan, and Raylen; and one great-granddaughter due in December.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bill Orme, and grandparents, Charlie and Beulah Eakins and George and Willa Orme.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 22, 2016 in Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana with Reverend Tom Mansbarger officiating.
Burial will immediately follow funeral services in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2016 in the funeral home.
