Cary G. “Gale” King, age 63, of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, June7, 2016 at home.
Gale was born on August 17, 1952 in Pocahontas, Arkansas the son of the late Jessie and Audrey (Adair) King.
He married Edith Coates on December 24, 1991, and she survives. Gale enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his family and friends. He had also worked as a stockman at Lance’s Supermarket.
He is survived by his wife, Edith of Marion; daughter, Rebecca (Bryan) Tschannen of Angola, Indiana; son, Christopher (Krystal) Pitman of Marion; son, Roy (Tanya) Pitman of California; sister, Theresa (Johnny) Anderson of Florida; sister, Brenda (Clyde) Riddle of Marion; sister, Linda (Elza) Headley of Jonesboro; 17 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 33 nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Sue Holmes, brothers, James McDaniel and Junior King; sister, Jerry Brown; and granddaughter, Ashely E. Pitman.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion, Indiana with Reverend William Babb officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to funeral services.
Burial will immediately follow funeral services in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
Gale, as your loving wife of 40 years, sweetheart I will miss you always and love you. Rest in God’s arms until we see one another again, Love your brown eyed baby.
