Carolyn Diane Tharp, 68, Marion, died at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2016, in her daughter’s home. She was born in Marion, IN, to the late Orphus L. and Wilma N. (Rosier) Henry.
Diane worked in production at RCA for 22 years. She was a member of AMVETS Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary, and she volunteered her time with the organizations of Help the Hopeful, Toys for Kids, and March of Dimes. Diane enjoyed fishing and camping, and she loved being with her family.
Those surviving Diane are her children, Shelley I. Clemons and Allen L. (Angie) Tharp, both from Marion; siblings, Barbara Everling, Marion, and Phillip Dwain Henry, FL; special friend, James A. Tharp, Fairmount; grandchildren, Casey Swafford, Gas City, and Justin (Phelesha) Swafford, Marion; step-grandson, Donald Fawns, Marion; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her brothers, Vernon Henry and Elvin Leon Henry.
Friends and family may call from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at Integrity Funeral Care, 2901 S. Washington St., Marion, IN. Funeral services will begin at 12 noon with Rev. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory, Marion.
