Carolyn A. (Leming) Nickerson, 67, Marion, passed away at 5:45 p.m. in her home on Tuesday, December 13, 2016. She was born in Marion on May 6, 1949, to the late James E. and Lois A. (Gregg) Leming.
Carolyn worked for Daland, Inc., as a server/cook for Pizza Hut where she retired from in 2014. She was very active in her church at Marion Church of the Brethren. Carolyn loved her cats and enjoyed collecting Hallmark Christmas ornaments and Beanie Babies.
Survivors include her husband, L.B. “Nick” Nickerson; son, Faris Earl Crain, II; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brothers, James. L. (Nancy) Leming, Vernon L. (Pam) Leming, and Jerry W. Leming; sisters, Pamela J. (Tom) Young, Patricia R. Leming, and Paula S. (Don) Bonham; favorite aunt, Pat (Louie) Peter; and one niece and three nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Chuck Leming, and sister-in-law, Becky Leming.
There will be no services for Carolyn. Her wishes were to be cremated and to have her cremated remains buried in a biodegradable urn with a seed for a tree at the pet cemetery on the east side of Marion.
