Carol A. Gosnell, 75, Amboy, died at 8:35 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2016, at Rolling Meadows Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Marion, Indiana, to the late Clyde and Sadie (Hayes) Scott. She married Charles T. Gosnell on October 13, 1961, and he preceded her in death on September 6, 2001.
Carol retired as an Office Manager for Teamsters Local 135 in Marion. She previously worked for Marion General Hospital as a Visiting Nurse. She was very involved with her family and enjoyed watching her grandchildren. Carol was a member of Gethsemane Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her sons, Scott (Anita) Gosnell, Marion, and Joseph (Kelly) Gosnell, Amboy; grandchildren, Casey Gosnell, Luke Gosnell, Elizabeth Gosnell, Samantha Gosnell, and Julianne Gosnell; brother, Donald F. (Phyllis) Scott, Marion; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brothers, Jim, Huck, and Gene Scott; and sister, Ruth Graff.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2016, at Gethsemane Episcopal Church, 111 E. 9th St., Marion, IN. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 12, 2016, at the church with Rev. Peg Harker and Rev. Jim Warnock officiating.
