Carla Ann Stellar, 67, of Wabash, Indiana, died Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born June 5, 1949 in Wabash County, Indiana to Carl E. and Ida (Reiken) Stellar.
Carla attended the School of Hope in Wabash, which is now Arc of Wabash County and also attended Linlawn School one year. She worked at Arc of Wabash County several years. Carla was a very positive person, who loved playing Bingo, and even won the last time she played. She enjoyed stuffed animals and word searches, was an avid reader, enjoyed going out to eat and to the movies, the Hallmark channel and Little House on the Prairie. She loved being with others, chatting with friends, and corresponding by mail.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Herbert E. Stellar, and sister Tanya Shoemaker. She is survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and her Arc of Wabash family.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, North Manchester. Friends may call 9:30-10:30 am Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Arc of Wabash County.
