Brian Jack Pressler, 67 of Markle passed away at 1:20 pm on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Markle Health & Rehabilitation Center. Brian was a 1966 graduate of Huntington Township High School. He had attended Ivy Tech in Fort Wayne. He served in the U.S. Marines, serving in Vietnam from 1968 – 1969. He was a Purple Heart recipient. Brian had worked at International Harvester from 1967 – 1982, Road Runner Trailers in Texas from 1982 – 1986, Diester Machine Shop from 1986 – 2009. He was a member of the Markle VFW Post 6671 and was also a member of the Honda Gold Wing Club Chapter “P” of Huntington. He enjoyed leather work, fishing, playing guitar, hunting and motorcycle riding.

Brian was born on September 10, 1948 in Huntington, the son of Jack and Josephine (Wall) Pressler.

He was united in marriage to Diane K. Fillman on June 16, 1968 in Markle. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include a son: Doug (Abby) Pressler of Huntington; two sisters: Janita Welborne of Citrus Heights, CA; Julia (Dale) Wine of Huntington and two grandchildren: Emily Pressler & Drew Pressler.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Jack & Josephine Pressler; a brother: Brent Pressler and a brother-in-law: James Welborne.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 10:30 am with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel with Gerald O. Moreland and Aaron McClary officiating.

Interment will be at the Markle Cemetery.
