Brad Boots, 46, a direct descendant of Marion founder, Martin Boots, passed away on March 4, 2016. He was born in Marion on May 22, 1969 to Richard Boots and Carmen Barkdull-Weaver. He was raised by Juanita Miller.
Brad was a self employed construction worker and a jack of all trades. He enjoyed the Colts, football Sundays with his brother, Heath, playing poker, NASCAR and disc golf.
Brad is survived by his mother, Carmen Weaver; children, Tawiania (John Balentine) Zirnheld; Ashley (Joe) Bishop; Kimberly Boots; Samantha Hubbard; Bradford E. “B.J.” (Heather Cornell) Boots, Jr.; siblings, Jeremy (Jin) Adams; Heath (Becky) Barkdull; Mark Sears; Jared Sears; Lisa (Mike) Isaacs; Ricky Boots; Jamie Boots; grandchildren, Brooklym, Kaleb, Trinity, Ethan, Ja’Leigha, Carnell, Johnathan, Trentyn, Joseph, Chloe and Scott; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by parents, Ralph and Juanita Miller and Richard Boots; very dear friend, Larry Sheppard.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 South Washington Street, Marion, Indiana.
Visitation will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 12, 2016 in Eastgate Community Church, 825 South Pennsylvania Street, Marion.
There will be a private family memorial service immediately following.
