Bonita H. Sease, 75, Peru, Indiana, passed away at 9:25 P.M., on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Visiting Nurse Hospice Home in Ft. Wayne, after an extended illness. She was born July 9, 1942, in Peru to Ervin L. and Helen E. Sease, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a lifelong resident of Peru and graduated from Peru High School. She began her working career at Wabash Valley Abstract Company in Peru. She later worked at General Tire in Wabash until her retirement. Bonita was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Peru. Before her health declined, she participated in the sewing ministry at the church, sewing blankets and other items for the needy. She had helped, along with her mother, at many St. John’s sauerkraut suppers and annual rummage sales. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening. Most especially, she enjoyed her role as “MeeMaw” to her granddaughters. Bonita is survived by her son, Kris Sease, Peru; two granddaughters, Chloe Sease and Sydney Sease, Kokomo; a brother, Delmar (Bobbie) Sease, Peru, an uncle, George Butzin, Kokomo; and many relatives, including a niece, two nephews, and several cousins. A service celebrating the life of Bonita H. Sease will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, August 25, 2017 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church, 181 West Main Street, Peru with Pastor Kenneth Greenwald officiating. Burial will take place in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main, Peru.
