Blair C. Bristol, 70, of Peru, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 afternoon at his residence. He was born in Fostoria, Michigan on April 30, 1947 the son of Ellis and Greta Bristol. Blair married Vicki Parrett at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Peru on February 26, 1967 and she survives.
Blair was a 1965 graduate of Fostoria High School, Fostoria, Michigan and a US Air Force Veteran. His military declarations include the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, the Air Force Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
There is an adage that says “If you Love what you do you will never have to work a day in your life.”
Blair was truly blessed because at the age of 70 he was still on the job at Chrysler in Kokomo where he was a machine repairman for 47 years. During his down time from Chrysler Blair enjoyed mowing lawns for many of his neighbors and hunting and fishing with Vicki’s uncle Bob Eldridge
Surviving in addition to his wife Vicki is a son David Bristol of Peru, two sisters Sharon Francis, of Punta Gorda, Florida and Sandra Chapin of Fostoria, Michigan, a brother-in-law John Parrett of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and a sister-in-law Becki Fouts and her husband Greg of Kokomo, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Scott Bristol.
Visitation for Blair C. Bristol will be from 10:00 AM- 1:00 PM, Monday, November 13, 2017 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main, Peru, Indiana. Immediately following there will be a Military Graveside Service at 1:00 PM at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, provided by members of the Miami County Military Rites Unit.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the American Diabetes Association.
