Billie Sue Kiefer, 79, of Peru, Indiana left for heaven March 27, 2017. She had been a resident of Blair Ridge for a couple of years. She was born on September 21, 1937 in Dickson, Tennessee to the late Thurman Chester Wallace and Christelle Kretchman Wallace. She married George Edward Kiefer on June 19, 1954. Sue was an animal lover, sewer and very creative. She loved collecting rocks, her flower gardens, and decorating for holidays. Dancing was in her blood and as long as she could stand, she was moving. But her main focus in life was her dedication to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sue was kindhearted, feisty, and fun. She will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She is survived by her children Barb Althouse, Doug Kiefer (Judi), and Dennis Kiefer. Grandchildren Matt (Kristi) Wilhelm, Daniel Wilhelm, Jennifer Keifer, Timothy (Elizabeth) Althouse, and Sarah Althouse. Great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Braxton, Anna, Bryce, Parker, Ali, Teigan, Piper, Alyssa, Charlene, Porter, and Maverick. She is also survived by her sisters Bunny Gunn and Peggy (Jay) Thomason.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George; sister, Dorothy Street and her son-in-law, Timothy H. Althouse.
Friends may call at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 11 am till 1 pm. The funeral service will be at 1 pm. Monetary donations can be made to the Alzheimers Association.
