Mrs. Betty Lou Rowe, 87, of Gas City, IN., formerly of Warren and Van Buren, IN, passed away at 1:01PM on Friday 5, 2016 at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, IN.  She was born on Thursday, July 26, 1928 in South Bend, IN, to Ralph C. and Frances M. (Sietz) Barnes.  Betty was a 1946 graduate of Mishawaka High School. She married George R. Rowe on August 31, 1947; he passed away on January 14, 2009. Betty was a loving housewife, mother and grandmother.  She has formerly been employed for a short time at the World Gospel Mission in Marion.

Survivors include: Son James (Maria) E. Rowe, Gas City, IN, Daughters-Marcia Newby, Kerrville, TX and Teresa (Frank) Parks, Sweetser, IN, 10 grandchildren, Tom Newby, Ted Newby, Tena Newby, Trudy (John) Howe, Tracey Sprowl, Tammy (Matt) Slaughter, Samuel J. Rowe, Kristopher J. Rowe, Katelyn A. Rowe, and Kandace A. Rowe and several great grandchildren.

Friends may gather to share and remember at Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home 201 W. Main St. Van Buren on Monday, February 8, 2016 from 4:00PM-8:00PM.

A service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held at the Jonesboro Main Street Wesleyan Church in Jonesboro on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 11:00AM with Pastor Ken Dykhoff officiating. Burial will follow in the Marion National Cemetery
